How Long Do You Cook Turkey Meatballs In The Oven?
For these turkey meatballs, we’re cooking them for about 15 minutes in a 375F oven.
Then we’re going to brown them under the broiler for 5-10 minutes.
What Temperature Should Meatballs Be At When Fully Cooked?
When using an instant read thermometer meat balls should reach 160° F internal temperature when done. If you don’t have a thermometer, after the 15 minutes, you can stick a fork into the middle of one and the juices should run clear. Or you can cut one open and check to make sure it is cooked throughout (which is my preferred method because I always want to make sure they’re cooked!)
How To Make Baked Turkey Meatballs:
-
Go ahead and preheat the oven and lets make some meatballs.
-
Grab a large bowl and Combine all ingredients together and mix until fully combined.
-
Scoop out 1 tablespoon worth of mixture and roll into a ball. You can also use a small or medium cookie scoop to scoop out the mixture to form the meatballs.
-
Lay on a prepared baking sheet. Continue rolling meatballs until mixture is gone.
-
Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes.
-
Turn oven off and turn broiler on high. Broil meatballs for 5-10 minutes to slightly brown the tops. Make sure to keep an eye on them as they may burn under the broiler.
Can You Freeze Homemade Turkey Meatballs?
You can! I love to make homemade meatballs and freeze them for later. Bake them and just let them cool until the baking pan is cool enough to place into the freezer. Pop the entire baking sheet into the freezer and let the meatballs freeze completely. Then pop the meatballs off of the pan and into a freezer gallon sized bag. Squeeze all of the air out and seal the bag.
Make sure to label the bag and pop it into your freezer. Homemade turkey meatballs will last in the freezer for about 3 months. Then just use them however you want. Thaw them for spaghetti and meatballs or just the frozen meatballs in any recipe you want.

Can I Make These Meatballs With Ground Beef or Ground Chicken?
This recipe will work with both chicken and beef.
