BBQ Pulled Pork (for sandwiches) – Super Easy BBQ Pulled Pork Recipe! Slow Cooker / Crock Pot is doing all of the work for this recipe!

Mmmmmm……BBQ Pulled Pork. Well, Coca-cola BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich that is. A few weeks ago I was able to go down to Camp Lejeune to visit family, and while we were down there Crystal made pulled pork BBQ sandwiches for dinner one night.
They were so good and I knew I needed to make them at home. Super simple, and this barely takes any work because the crockpot does it all.
Crystal used KC Masterpiece BBQ sauce for hers and I think she used Dr.Pepper for it.
Incredibly good, but since I already had Coca-Cola BBQ sauce in the freezer, that was left over from the Baked Drumsticks with Coca Cola Barbecue Sauce, I decided to go with that for this recipe. So really all you need is your favorite BBQ sauce, a Pork Butt, and a can of dark soda.

Ingredients For Coca Cola BBQ Pulled Pork:
- Pork Butt (or Pork Shoulder)
- Can Coca-cola (or any dark soda)
- BBQ sauce
- Buns

has anyone tried this with root beer? Thinking I might be the guinea pig with it tomorrow.
I’m making this now. I was wondering, how big of a butt are we talking? I would say enough to cook the roast in, but that’s me. I’m a Midwestern girl living in New England and in need of this recipe. Thanks for the BBQ sauce…..I’m making that now!
I normally use anywhere from a 7 to 10 pound one. Depends on what I can find at the store and what will fit into my crockpot
I love pulled pork, but being diabetic, I can’t add the high sugar contents.
I have a couple of big packages of pork ribs so can I just slow cook those and debone them instead for the pull pork?
That should work
