Oh - I meant to include that my topping also had diced pecans that I’d lightly toasted while warming the oven. So a little sugary, cinnamon-y, nutty crunch on top. Yum!

Delicious! I bake a lot, and this bread was sooo good. I used fresh blueberries and peaches from our tree, which are edible for the first time, and now I’m looking for things to bake/make with them. This was perfect. I kept the skin on, and added a surgery / cinnamon topping. I just whisked about 1/4 brown sugar, 1-2 tsp of cinnamon, 1/8 tsp of nutmeg together, sprinkled on top, then since it looked dry, dotted w/ some butter. Delicous all around - not too sweet, just a little sweet and w/ a little spice-y flare, but not overpowering.

I made another loaf this morning, and added raspberries I had frozen. I didn’t read the comments about thawing and drying them first () but did roll them in flour before mixing them in. I didn’t measure the blueberries by accident, just dumped them in, and used an overflowing cupt of diced peaches. I blended butter in w/ the sugar topping and made a little more of it. and unfortunately it started to overflow in the oven! I put a cookie sheet under it, and cooked it a little longer than yesterday’s, so we’ll see how it comes out. it’s for my moms birthday, so I wanted to make a fresh loaf and not bring the one we dug into yesterday! But it is super easy to make, esp the 2nd time around. Will continue to make this - just maybe not with delicate berries like raspberries!

You can but you need to thaw it and squeeze out as much liquid as you can.

I've always stored it on the fridge or on the counter but it's not normally around long enough to go bad haha

Wondering if anyone has tried adding the zest and juice of a lemon plus a half tsp cinnamon. I think it would work well .
