i’ve made these muffins several times now & they’re one of my favorite things!!! i just made another batch & we’re already down to only 2 muffins left. to be fair, a good portion of that was my doing, but my family also seems to love them. i personally like to make mine with both semisweet and espresso chips, & this time around, i substituted vanilla with pancake syrup. i also accidentally added one tablespoon of butter rather than two, but in my opinion it makes the muffins just a bit firmer & less crumbly, which i personally like. all in all i’m very happy with them & i’m saving my leftover cream cheese filling for another batch. thank you for putting this recipe out there!

I prefer more of a savory brunch although anything with cream cheese has my attention too. I like brunch because to me it is more relaxed and casual.
