if you paint the hangers, to you have to rough them up using sandpaper so the paint will stick?

In reply to Lea. Mine was pretty stiff. I can lift it and we hand it on the bog window outside for Christmas. If I was going to make these to hang in a tree, I might use white zip ties to hold it together where the glue is.

Are yours stiff? Because when I try to pick mine up off the table after building it it’s still really flimsy. I was hoping to hang these in my tree out front but this doesn’t look promising without excess amounts of ugly hot glue

You made a really cute decor item!
I don’t think you have to spend many thousands of dollars on holiday decor if you reuse it every year. Or buy non-themed decorations that will work for any holiday.

I used zip ties in some areas and hot glue on some areas, turned out great but it will not lay flat. How can I get it to lay flat? Thanks

In reply to Lisa. Using a good quality glue may help with this. Maybe try the gorilla glue sticks for better hold.
