I haven&#039;t tried chips instead of cheese but you could certainly give it a try. Covering a casserole helps the dish cook evenly, stay moist, and prevents burning. Uncovering helps with browning, melting and crisping. The chips might get soggy if you cover. You want the chips to stay crisps. You could keep an eye on them and if the chips start to brown too much or urn you can lay a piece of foil over them.]]></description>
