I lost my family’s recipe when we moved, but I think this one is very close and it smells delicious as it’s baking. Folks need to remember that most “vintage” or “old-fashioned” recipes weren’t complicated or made with expensive ingredients. (My mom always cautioned me to use the kitchen tools that were available when the recipe was written.) My grandson brought over 3 overripe bananas this morning, knowing I’d bake something with them. Now he can have banana bread…thanks again.
