I needed a Referee Shirt for my Halloween Costume But I didn’t want a box looking shirt, I wanted a Tank Top. So I made my Own!! Look at my Referee Tank top!!! How cute!! I made that out of a regular referee shirt i got at DICKS.
Here are the instructions!
1. Choose your shirt.
2. Flip the T-shirt over and cut through the back, sleeve to sleeve (underneath). BACK ONLY -Be careful not to cut through the front. Start at the bottom of the sleeve on the back of the tshirt, and cut across the back of the shirt to the bottom of the other side like this: )——–(
3. Cut through the center of the T-shirt’s backside from the neckline to the cut made previously made underneath the sleeves, forming 2 flaps which will eventually become your neck straps. You will kind of have cut an upside down T.
4. Cut the sleeves completely off of the shirt, at the seam. Now, narrow the flaps you made in the previous step, into your desired strap size. I chose to make mine thick and then I twisted them before I tied them behind my neck.
5. Turn the shirt around and cut your desired neckline into the front (V-neck, slit, etc).
