Vanilla Cranberry Bread

Cooler weather always makes me want to get into the kitchen and bake. It makes me want to fill the apartment with the smells of baking bread and tasty desserts.

It also makes me want to get up in the mornings and start my day with a coffee and breakfast. In the summer I’m not really a breakfast person, but when the temperatures start to drop it’s always nice to start the morning with something warm from the oven.

Vanilla Cranberry Bread

I’m not a “normal breakfast food” kind of person early in the mornings but sweets are a totally different story.

However, you don’t have to eat this Vanilla Bean Cranberry Ring for breakfast. Yes, it’s perfect for breakfast but it’s also perfect for an afternoon snack or dessert in the evening with a large mug of hot chocolate.

Vanilla Cranberry Bread

The inside of this Vanilla Bean Cranberry Ring is spread with a lovely layer of Finlandia™ Vanilla Bean gourmet cheese and whole cranberry sauce. Then it’s baked until golden brown and drizzled with a vanilla bean glaze and garnished with dried cranberries and fresh orange zest.

I love the sweet taste from the glaze but I also really love the tangy taste of the Finlandia vanilla bean cheese that’s baked into this dessert ring.

Finlandia cheese is made with the purest milk from Finnish family-owned farms and the purest natural ingredients. Finlandia is relentless in their pursuit of taste!

Vanilla Cranberry Bread

So let’s make this Vanilla Bean Cranberry Ring!!

Roll the dough out onto a flat surface.

Using a rolling pin, roll the dough out into a large rectangle.

Vanilla Cranberry Bread

Spread half of the Finlandia Vanilla Bean cheese onto the dough, leaving an inch border around the dough clean.

Vanilla Cranberry Bread

Top with the whole cranberry sauce and spread it out into a single layer.

Starting on one of the long ends, tuck and roll the dough jelly roll style.

After you roll it, bring the two ends together to form a ring.

Place the ring, seam side down, into a large cast iron skillet or on a rimmed baking sheet.

Vanilla Cranberry Bread

Bake for 20-25 minutes or until top is slightly browned.

Once baked, removed from oven and let cool.

Vanilla Cranberry Bread

In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the rest of the Finlandia Vanilla Bean cheese and the milk.

Whisk in the powdered sugar until well combined and smooth.

If the glaze is too thick add more milk, if the glaze is too thin for your liking add more powdered sugar.

Vanilla Cranberry Bread

Drizzle glaze on top of ring.

Top with dried cranberries.

Sprinkle with zest from one orange.

Serve warm or at room temperature.

Vanilla Cranberry Bread

Now enjoy this with your family or keep it all for yourself! This Vanilla Bean Cranberry Ring would be perfect for Christmas morning. Or now come to thank if it, this would be a great thing to serve the day after Thanksgiving to use up that left over cranberry sauce!

What can be used in place of the vanilla cheese? It isn’t available where I live. Is substituting regular cream cheese okay?

Hey! That would work! I would suggest whipping a little vanilla extract into the cream cheese too before spreading. <3
