Before I moved away from my home city I hated it here, “nothing to do, nowhere to go”, But after I moved back to VA with my husband I started to notice and appreciate the great places around my hometown. This would be one of those great finds…..
Yesterday My Mother and I headed into Yanceyville, NC to check out Yoder’s Market. Mom had been wanting to go for a while and I had heard some great reviews about this place, so I thought I’d give it a shot. I was amazed at the selection of items that this little store offered. They had every spice imaginable, from whole bay leaves to glass tubes filled with vanilla beans.
They offer items like cereal, varieties of beans and bags of different types of rice. Canned Jellies and Jams lined the store shelves along side the pickling and canning section.
They offer cook books and novels in their bookstore, and beautiful Amish Made furniture and wooden toys.
The oldest daughter of the couple that owns Yoder’s Market makes beautiful jewelry that they sell in the store. I bought a beautiful bracelet and 2 pairs of earrings. They are just gorgeous. She also takes custom orders!
OOO Wagon Wheel pasta is my favorite pasta. I have no idea why I love it so much! I mean it taste like any other pasta, but It makes everything taste better to me haha. And what do you know… they had it…. how neat. I also got a bag of Cheddar Broccoli & Rice mix. They had all kinds of soup mixes there.
