Ingredients

Chocolate Cake

  • 2 cups Dixie Crystals Extra Fine Granulated Sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour*
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup boiling water

Pudding Layer

  • 2 large box of instant vanilla pudding
  • 6 cups cold milk
  • Green Food Coloring

Topping

  • 1 large tub of cool whip
  • Green Food Coloring
  • Witch Hat Cookies (Link Above on how to make them at home!)

Instructions

Chocolate Cake

  • Preheat oven to 300°F
  • In a large bowl, whisk together sugar, flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda and salt
  • Mix in eggs, milk, vegetable oil and vanilla.
  • Mix in boiling water until smooth.
  • Pour into a greased pan, bake for 55-60 minutes or until done.
  • Let cake cool completely.
  • When cake is cool, use the end of wooden spoon to poke holes into cake.

Pudding Layer

  • Whisk together the milk and vanilla pudding mix until it just starts to get thick. Add in green food coloring and stir until green.
  • Spread the pudding all over the top of the cake. Place into the fridge and let sit for 2 hours.
  • Remove from the fridge after 2 hours.
  • Mix together the coo whip and some green food coloring.
  • Top the cake with the green cool whip.
  • Top with witch hats.
  • Print
