Yep, dinner on the table quickly with the use of 5 simple ingredients! I’m pretty sure that anyone can handle that! The filling for these Pork and Garlic Mashed Potato Biscuits can be made the night before! That’s one less thing to have to do after work and before dinner! Plus I’m using Simply Potatoes Garlic Mashed Potatoes for the topping! There is hardly any work going into these babies.
These 5 Ingredient Pork and Garlic Mashed Potato Biscuits can be made one of two ways! I’ve got pictures of both “versions” in this post so that you can see them! You can make them with southern style biscuits for a hearty dinner OR you can make them with tiny puff pastry cups for savory appetizer bites with a kick of flavor! I love recipes that can transform like that!
Here is the Biscuit Version!
I did make these with pork because that’s what was on sale this week BUT you could make them with ground turkey, ground chicken or ground beef! {Yes, I do plan my meals and menus by what meat I can get on sale, meat is expensive and will suck my grocery money right out of my wallet!}
So let’s talk about the 5 Ingredients that go into these Pork and Garlic Mashed Potato Biscuits! First you’ve got the Pork. I used ground pork and mixed a bit of Taco seasoning with it while I was cooking it. Then I mixed in 2 small cans of baked beans! Yep, baked beans! We all know that pork goes really well with baked beans! (But it’ll still be fine with any other meat you choose to use!) I baked up a few biscuits (and some puff pastry cups for the appetizer version), filled them with the pork filling and then topped them with the Simply Potatoes Garlic Mashed Potatoes!
That’s it. Simple! See I told you that you’d be done with them in a flash!! They’ve got everything you need for a hearty meal! Meat and Potatoes and Biscuits! <— Now that’s a “Big Bear Approved” kind of meal haha.
The Taco Seasoning and the flavor burst from the Simply Potatoes Garlic Mashed Potatoes is all you need! Pile a few on your plate for dinner and you’re good to go! They’re just perfect!
*I garnished these with parsley for photos but you don’t have to!*
