These adorable cookies were made by my awesome sister (inlaw) for all of us Dog lovers at the party. These cuties were a “gift” to our pups from her Pup Layla.

My Dogs LOVED them and I’m sure yours will to.
What you need:
3/4 cup hot water
2 beef or chicken bouillon cubes
1/2 cup powdered milk
1/3 cup margarine
3 cups whole wheat flour
1 egg, beaten
What to do:
Combine butter, bouillon, and water in sauce pan over medium heat until butter is melted and bouillon dissolves. Add this to powdered milk and egg in a large bowl. Add flour, 1/2 cup at a time, mixing well after each. Knead 3-4 minutes. Pat or roll to 1/2″ thickness and cut out with dog shaped cookie cutter (Rachael had a basset hound). Place on greased cookie sheet and bake at 325 degrees for 50 minutes or until hard and light brown. Makes 1 1/4 pounds.
