Ingredients For Brown Sugar Pecans:
- 4 cups raw halved pecans (pecan halves work best for this recipe)
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg white, whisked
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Ingredient amounts and entire recipe directions below
Gather your ingredients. You’ll need fresh pecans, white sugar, brown sugar, vanilla extract, and an egg white. Other than the pecans, these staples can easily be found in most households, making it convenient to satisfy your snack cravings whenever they strike.
How To Make Brown Sugar Pecans:
-
Preheat oven.
-
In a gallon-size bag, combine both sugars, egg white, and vanilla extract. You can also do this in a bowl, but I find it easier to make them in a gallon-sized Ziplock bag.
-
Seal the bag and squeeze with your hands to combine ingredients.
-
Add pecans to the bag.
-
Seal the bag and squeeze together…
-
… until pecans are completely coated.
-
Spread pecans onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
-
Bake according to recipe…
They will look puffy like this when you first pull them out. -
Stirring and flipping pecans at the half way through.
-
Remove from oven and let cool.
Can I Use Other Nuts For This Recipe?
