How To Make Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins:
-
Preheat the oven.
-
First, you’re going to want to cream together the sugar, bananas, butter, egg, and oil. Mix it well. You can mash the bananas before hand but normally I just throw them in the mixer first and let them mash in there.
-
Whisk the flour, baking powder and salt together and then slowly add the dry ingredients mixture to the sugar mixture. Mix until everything is combined into a batter.
-
Then mix in the milk and banana extract.
-
After that, stir in the chocolate chips. (You could also use mini chocolate chips for these muffins)
-
Line a muffin pan before adding the batter. I like to use JUMBO size muffin liners for these muffins. Don’t worry though! They’ll fit right into a regular muffin tin.
-
Bake muffins according to recipe and let cool.
How Should I Store Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins?
I like to store these banana muffins in an a large ziplock bag on the counter. They normally only last a few days around our house anyways. I think that keeping them in the ziplock type bag keeps them moist.
You can also store them in an airtight container.
Do I Have To Use Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips?
No, you don’t have to use those. You could also use milk chocolate chips. Semi-Sweet is just normally what I bake with. Although I do suggest that you get a name brand when baking with chocolate chips. Sometimes the off brands or store brands have a weird taste to them when they’re baked.
