How To Make OREO Milkshakes:
- Crushing the OREO cookies.
The main part of this milkshake is the lovely amounts of crushed OREO cookies that are throughout the milkshake and on top.
So we’re going to start this recipe out with crushing up some cookies.
You can blend them in a food processor or you can just pop the OREO cookies into a Ziplock type bag, close it and smash them into crumbs with a rolling pan.
Reserve some of the crushed Oreo cookies and set them aside for garnish for the top of the milkshakes. -
Add vanilla ice cream, milk, powdered sugar, and remaining crushed Oreos to a blender.
(Recipe Amounts Here) -
Blend on medium-high until everything is blended and smooth.
-
Pour into glasses (chilled glasses are even better!)
-
Top with Crème Chantilly, and crushed Oreo cookies.

Should The Vanilla Ice Cream Be Frozen Solid Or Soft?
I personally think that the ice cream should be somewhere between frozen solid and super soft. Just soft enough to scoop the ice cream is the right texture.
When I worked in the restaurant, the ice cream that we used for milkshakes was frozen pretty solid in a deep freezer type freezer in the ice cream bar.
However, we also use a real milkshake maker.
With making milkshakes in the blender at home, I find that it is easier when the ice cream is a tad bit softer though.
