How To Make Funfetti Cinnamon Rolls:
-
Follow the recipe below for Cinnamon Rolls, cover with a kitchen towel, and let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
-
Once the dough has risen, add 1/2 cup flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt. Stir Well.
-
Preheat oven to 375°F.
-
Lightly flour a flat surface, add dough and knead for about 5 minutes, adding little bits of flour to the dough when sticky.
-
Once the dough is no longer sticky, lightly flour a flat surface. Using a rolling pin, roll the dough into a large rectangle on the floured surface, about 15×9 inches.
-
Brush melted butter over the dough.
-
Sprinkle cinnamon and 1/2 cup sugar over the melted butter until covered well.
-
Sprinkle with funfetti sprinkles.
-
Starting at the side closest to you, roll the dough tightly away from you, tucking the dough in as you roll. Roll the dough log so the seam is face down.
-
With a sharp knife, cut off about an inch off the ends of the dough and discard. Slice the remaining dough about every 2 inches to get 12 large rolls.
-
Butter a 9×13 dish and place rolls into dish.
-
Let rolls rest and rise for about 20 minutes.
-
Place into oven and bake for 25-30 minutes.
-
While rolls bake, make the frosting. Whisk together, all frosting ingredients until smooth.
-
Remove rolls from oven and let cool for 5 minutes.
-
Spread cream cheese frosting over warm rolls and serve.
-
Sprinkle extra sprinkles on top before serving.
What Kind Of Sprinkles Should I Use?
I think the best rainbow sprinkles or “Funfetti Sprinkles”, like the rainbow jimmies.
