These spooky Hannibal Lecter Brain Parfaits are the perfect desserts for your next Halloween party! You’ll love these creepy treats and how easy they are to make!
Hannibal Lecter is serving up dessert tonight with these perfectly made Brain Parfaits!
Of course we’re not really serving up brains haha but Walnuts in Cherry Jell-O (and walnuts dipped in cherry juice) look like little brains! So they’re serving as our brains for this dessert.
My friend, Sydni, sent me a post a while ago about how Walnuts soaked in cherry juice looked like little brains and that sparked the idea for this dessert.
Ingredients For Mini Hannibal Lecter Brain Parfaits:
- instant white chocolate pudding
- cold milk
- strawberry jam
- Strawberry Jell-O mix
- boiling water
- cold water
- 1/2 piece walnuts
- cherry juice
- Whipped Cream
Ingredient amounts and entire recipe directions in recipe card below with print option!
How To Make Mini Hannibal Lecter Brain Parfaits:
-
Add cherry juice and walnuts to a bowl and let sit.
-
Make the white chocolate pudding by pouring the mix into a bowl and whisking in 2 cups cold milk. Whisk until thick.
-
Add 1 tablespoon of strawberry jelly/jam to the bottom of the glass.
-
Add about 6 spoonfuls of white chocolate pudding to each glass.
-
Place into the fridge to chill for 1 hour.
-
After pudding has chilled, make the Jell-O.
-
Pour strawberry Jell-O powder into a bowl and whisk in 2 cups boiling hot water. Whisk until powder is dissolved. Whisk in 2 cups cold water. Whisk well.
-
Let Jell-O sit on the counter for about 10 minutes to slightly cool.
-
Remove pudding glasses from the fridge.
-
Slowly, SLOWLY, pour in about 1/2 cup Jell-O mix.
-
Add about 3-4 walnuts to the Jell-O layer. You can let them float OR you can gently press them onto the sides slightly into the pudding layer so they’ll stay on the side.
-
Make sure you’re working gently or the pudding layer may pop up into the Jell-O and you don’t want that to happen.
-
Place into the fridge for 4-5 hours or until Jell-O is set.
-
When ready to serve, top with whipped cream and 1 cherry walnut brain and a drip or two of cherry juice.
What Glasses Did You Use For These Parfaits?
They look fancy, don’t they? haha They’re the crystal cut, 10 oz Plastic Wine Glasses from Dollar Tree. 🙂
You can also make these into smaller versions using the tall shot glasses from Dollar Tree.
Do I Have To Use Strawberry Jell-O?
You don’t have to use strawberry Jell-O but you probably want to use a red flavor or dark red flavor to get the same look.
