“This post and recipe was created for #SummerDessertWeek! I was sent samples by some of the sponsor companies but as always opinions are 100% mine.”
RECIPE IS BELOW IN PRINTABLE RECIPE CARD BUT BLOG POST IS FULL OF “HOW TO MAKE IT”, TIPS, INFORMATION AND FAQ
Mickey Pops are one of my favorite snacks/treats to get when we are at Disney World. The Florida heat is INSANE at Disney and ice cream is a NEED when you’re there.
Our little guy has been to Disney once and that was all it took for him to fall in love with Mickey Mouse ice pops. While we can find them in the grocery stores around here now, they’re just the plain ol’ vanilla ice cream pops.
So I thought that I’d try to make some Mickey Ice Cream bars at home so that we could use any flavor of ice cream!
I personally love being able to make these with mint chocolate chip ice cream instead of just having plain vanilla ice cream Mickey pops!
Why You Should Make Homemade Mickey Ice Cream Pops…
- fun treat to make at home
- can be made with any flavor ice cream
- perfect for Disney lovers
What Kind of ice cream to use for Homemade Mickey Ice Cream Pops:
You can use any flavor of ice cream for these Homemade Mickey pops. However, after a few test runs (and fails), I’ve found that the cheap store brand ice creams don’t work as well with these molds.
I found that the middle quality and higher quality ice creams worked best for these pops and froze better in the molds.
