Can someone please help me convince BigBear that we need a pool? Not that I really have anywhere to put one, but I need one.
Really, we could train the big dogs to stay away from it right? I don’t really use the back yard for anything but the dogs, so we could literally just sit it right now in the middle of the yard. Heck at this point I’ll just set it up in the driveway.
I’m not saying this because it’s hot and I want to complain about the heat. Even though we’re getting a crazy heat wave over here on the east coast, I’m actually ok with it because we have air in our house now. I’m not roasting alive in the living room (I have no shame in cranking up that air). I just really want a pool. I’ve always loved the water. I love to swim, I love the beach but since I put on weight after getting married, I’ve stayed as far away from bathing suit areas as I could. I’ve missed the water.
I finally found a bathing suit this year that I love. It’s a black and white tank top type top and a black skirt over the bathing suit bottoms and I love it so, so much. (heck no I’m not posting that on the internet). So while I don’t have my pretty 21 year old body back yet, I do feel ok with this swimsuit to brave the pool.
He mainly went by Christine from Cook the Story‘s recipe for it, BigBear left out the dill (oops) and kinda cooked everything together because he was a bad recipe reader haha, but it still turned out really, really good. If you haven’t tried a Low Country Boil / Shrimp Boil you need to. It’s so darn easy to put together, feeds a crowd and taste wonderful!
I’ve also been making a lot of peach stuff lately. *LOVE PEACHES* <– yes I was screaming that. 😉
Lately I’ve posted about Blueberry Peach Bread and Gluten Free Peach Cobbler and I’ve been using the peach peeling guide from Cookin Canuck. Dara made it look so easy with her step by step pictures, so it’s how I do it now. 🙂
Yesterday, my god-daughter Alyssa suggested that I need to make some fresh peach ice cream for the blog (and top it with fresh peaches for the photograph haha) so I’ll be working on that this weekend, as well had some pasta salad recipes and a little something to celebrate Susan’s new cookbook “The S’mores Cookbook” as well!! PS. you can order Susan’s cookbook on amazon now!!! *Congratulations, Susan!*
oh and these right here… THEY ROCK!
Here are a few things I’ve found around the web lately that I love:

No Bake Cookie Dough S’mores from Inside BruCrew Life
