Ingredients
For Peanut Butter Filling:
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 6 tablespoons smooth peanut butter
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
For Chocolate Bunnies
- Hollow Chocolate Bunny Molds
- 30 ounces chocolate candy melts
Instructions
For Peanut Butter Filling:
- In a medium sauce pan, melt the butter and peanut butter together over medium heat.
- Once the butter and peanut butter is melted pour it into another large bowl.
- Stir in the vanilla.
- Stir in the powdered sugar until well combined.
- Place into fridge for 30 minutes.
For Chocolate Bunnies
- Melt chocolate according to package directions.
- You'll need 1 oz of chocolate for each bunny.
- **This recipe makes a two sided bunny.**
- Pour a little of the melted chocolate into one side of the rabbit mold and then using a food safe paint brush brush or a toothpick, brush/move the melted chocolate along the bottom and sides of the mold until covered.
- This will make the chocolate shell.
- Place mold into fridge for 3-5 minutes.
- Remove mold and press 1 teaspoon of peanut butter mixture into the chocolate shell.
- Use the heat from your hands to heat the peanut butter dough until it\'s the texture of playdough before you try to press it into the mold.
- Fill the other side of the rabbit mold with melted chocolate and press the to halves of the rabbit mold together. Shake to make sure all of the seams are filled with chocolate.
- Place into the fridge for 15 minutes.
- Pop mold open and remove rabbit.
- Store in the fridge or at room temperature.
For One Sided Rabbits:
- If you just want to make one sides rabbits, follow the directions as printed but once you add the peanut butter filling to the rabbit, cover the peanut butter with melted chocolate, tap out the air bubbles and place into the fridge for 10 minutes.
