Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse Rice Krispie Treats

  • Yield: 6 large Rice Krispie Treats

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 10 ounces marshmallows
  • 6 cups rice krispie cereal
  • Red Melted Chocolate/Candy Coating
  • Chocolate Melted Chocolate/Candy Coating
  • Large Yellow Sprinkles
  • Red Candy Bows
  • Mickey Mouse Cookie Cutter or Template

Instructions

  • Melt the butter in a large pot and add the marshmallows. Stir until they are all melted!
  • Add rice krispie cereal a little bit at a time and stir to combine.
  • Press rice krispie cereal into a buttered cookie sheet. Press flat and let cool.
  • Let rice krispie treats sit for about 30 minutes.
  • Remove from pan and cut into Mickey Mouse shapes
  • Melt Chocolate according the package directions.

For Mickey:

  • Dip the bottoms of the Rice Krispie Treat into the red melted chocolate.
  • Lay on a sheet of wax paper (or a plate).
  • Add Yellow Candy Buttons.

For Minnie:

  • Dip the front of the Rice Krispie Treat into the regular melted chocolate.
  • Lay on a sheet of wax paper (or a plate).
  • Add red candy bow.
  • Let the Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse Rice Krispie Treats sit for about 20 minutes undisturbed or until the chocolate has hardened.
