Normally I would start October off with a Halloween recipe but I just had to share these Turtle Cookie cups with y’all today! Don’t worry thought, there are plenty of Halloween recipes coming this month!
Y’all know that we love cookie cups around here and we also love chocolate and caramel so these Turtle Cookie Cups were a huge hit with everyone in the family! I just love how they can be made into all kinds of different desserts just by changing the fillings and toppings.
What you need for Turtle Cookie Cups:
- butter, very soft
- Dixie Crystals Extra Fine Granulated Sugar
- egg
- vanilla extract
- salt
- all-purpose flour*
- baking soda
- cream of tartar
- Baking spray or butter to butter muffin tin
What you need for Turtle Cookie Cups Filling:
- mini chocolate chips + extra for topping
- heavy cream
- hopped pecans
- caramel sauce
- pecan halves
If you’re allergic to pecans you can totally leave them out and these cookie cups will still be absolutely delicious so don’t worry about adding those if you can’t. Also, these cookie cups are best if served slightly chilled because of the chocolate and caramel center!
