Do you love cheeseburgers and Halloween?
Having trouble finding savory recipes for Halloween?
Let’s make Skull Cheeseburger Pies! Such an Easy Recipe too!
I know that most Halloween recipes are sweet and more for dessert than dinner, so I knew I wanted to work on more savory Halloween recipes this year!
I’ve used this skull pan for chicken pot pies, spaghetti pies plus some sweet treats. I found this skull mold at Michaels but you can grab one like it at Target or on Amazon.
Ingredients For Skull Cheeseburger Pies:
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1/2 tablespoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 cans (13.8 ounces each) refrigerated pizza dough
- your favorite burger toppings

Ingredient amounts and recipe directions are in the recipe card below with a print option!
How To Make Skull Cheeseburger Pies:
-
Preheat oven to 350F.
-
In a large skillet, add ground beef and seasonings.
-
Break up ground beef with a spatula and cook until browned. Drain Grease.

-
Remove from heat and stir in cheese until melted.

-
Open refrigerated pizza dough and cut each sheet into 4 squares.
-
Press 1 square into each skull cavity of a silicone skull cake pan.

-
Fill each skull with 1/2 cup beef and cheese mixture.

-
Fold over dough edges to the middle and crimp with fingers to create a dough pocket of cheesy beef. You can trim off excess dough if you’d like.

-
Use a spatula and press down on the backs of the skulls to get the dough into all of the crevices.
-
Bake for about 30 minutes.
-
Remove from oven, pop skulls out of mold, and serve with your favorite burger toppings.
Please note that the skulls may be a little greasy when you remove them from the mold. This is normal. Just pat them with a paper towel.

What Kind Of Dough Do You Use For Cheeseburger Skulls?
I used pizza dough for these but you could also use the refrigerated crescent dough sheets.

- Ketchup
- Mustard
- Mayo
- Pickles
- Shredded Lettuce
- Diced Tomatoes
- Sauteed Mushrooms
You could also add cooked crumbled bacon to the easy cheeseburger filling to make a bacon cheeseburger pie!
