Banana Drop Cookies

Banana Drop Cookies

These Banana Drop Cookies were from Dad B 🙂 Hubbys Dad 🙂

These are wonderful and have a texture almost like cake, but like cookie, but like cake….ooo you’ll just have to try them. 🙂

What you need:

1-1/2 Pure Granulated Sugar
2/3 cup shorting
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
1 cup mashed ripe bananas(3-4 medium)
2-1/4 cups all purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoons salt
½ teaspoons baking soda
1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
½ teaspoon cinnamon

What to do:

Preheat oven 400F. Grease cookie sheets.

In a large bowl, beat 1-1/4 cups sugar, shorting and vanilla, until fluffy.
Beat in eggs, then bananas.

Combine flour, baking powder, salt, and soda.

Beat into sugar mixture. Stir in walnuts if using them.
Chill 30 minutes.

Drop by teaspoons 2 inches apart on cookies.

Combine ¼ cup sugar and cinnamon, sprinkle over cookies.

Bake 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned. Makes 5 dozen.

    These are delicious,I use 1 tlbs for each cookie , great recipe.
