You can’t go wrong with this game day appetizer. Don’t like ranch? No problem! You can leave it out!

What To Serve With A Football CheeseBall?
I normally serve cheeseballs with things like crackers, celery sticks or carrot sticks. You could also serve up a bowl of pretzels.
However, I did find these cute “Kellogg’s® Town House® Crackers Game Day Dippers” that are perfect for serving with this football shaped cheeseball!
What Can I Use Instead of String Cheese?
If you don’t want to use string cheese, you can cut thin slices of mozzarella cheese or white cheddar cheese to make the football laces.
Can I Make My Own Bacon Bits?
Of course! Fry up your own bacon strips, drain it and chop those slices into crispy bacon bits to cover your cheeseball.
I Don’t Want To Use Ranch Seasoning But Want To Flavor The Cheeseball. What Can I use?
If you don’t want to use ranch seasoning for this recipe, that’s totally fine. You can add in a teaspoon of garlic powder and/or a teaspoon of onion powder to season this.
Other ways to change up the flavor would be to add some bacon bits into the cheese mixture before shaping the cheeseball. You could also add some chopped green onions, and a sharp cheddar cheese instead of a mild version.
How Long Will This Cheeseball Last?
You can make this cheeseball a day or two in advance. Leftovers should be good in the fridge for up to a week
