These easy Meringue Witch Finger Cookies are crispy, creepy and perfect for Halloween. These witch finger cookies are made with a meringue cookie recipe, colored green for of a bit of a classic witch look and decorated with an almond as the creepy witch nail!

My favorite classic Halloween character is probably Dracula or a Witch! Ok, probably a witch! I also love making witch themed desserts and treats or Halloween and for the blog. These fun Meringue Witch Finger Cookies are perfect for watching Halloween movies, great served with Melting Witch Hot Chocolate and perfect for a Halloween party!
What you’ll need to make Easy Meringue Witch Finger Cookies:
- room temperature egg whites
- salt
- cream of tartar
- white sugar
- cookie butter extract OR vanilla extract
- green food coloring
- almonds
How to make Easy Meringue Witch Finger Cookies:
In the bowl on a stand mixer or a large bowl in order to use an electric hand mixer, combine egg whites, salt and cream of tarter.
Whip high for about a minute until foamy.
Slowly add sugar, about 1 tablespoon as a time to egg white mixture. Whipping on high for about 10 second between each tablespoon.
Once all sugar has been added, whip on high until meringue is thick and shiny.
Add extract and coloring and mix until combined.
Preheat oven to 225F.
Fill piping bag with mixture and pipe 3 inch witch fingers onto the prepared baking sheet. These cookies don’t spread so they can be piped close to each other.
Add an almond to the end of each cookie for the witch finger nail.
Once oven is preheated, place cookies into oven and bake for 1 hour.
Turn oven off and let cookies cool inside of the oven for 2 hours.
Remove and Enjoy.
Store cookies in an airtight container. Cookies left out at room temperature and not sealed will get soft and mushy.
