Nutter Butter Cookies and Fig Newtons were some of the most popular cookies in the pantry at my house growing up. Also, my toddler is in love with Nutter Butter cookies, so these Nutter Butter Mummy Cookies became a Halloween family favorite as soon as I made them.
I’ve seen these mummy cookies around the web before but I think the one I remember most are the ones from my friend Stacey at SouthernBite.com. Stacey used candy eyes like the ones I’ve used for my Cake Mix Monster Cookies and Spooky Eyeball Fudge Brownies.
I decided to use some little black circle sprinkles that I had on hand but candy eyes are perfect too.
What you’ll need to make Nutter Butter Mummy Cookies:
- Nutter Butter Cookies
- white almond bark or white chocolate candy coating
- black round sprinkles or tiny candy eyes
How to make Nutter Butter Mummy Cookies:
Line a baking sheet or a flat surface with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
Melt the candy coating according to package directions. Dip each Nutter Butter cookies into melted white candy coating using. You can use a fork or chop sticks to help you dip them.
Tap off excess candy coating and lay them on the prepared baking sheet. While candy coating is wet add eyes.
Once candy coating is dry, re melt remaining candy coating and pour it into a piping bag or a sandwich bag.
Drizzle each mummy cookie with candy coating to look like mummy bandages. Let candy coating dry and harden.
