Fresh Fruit Bouquet

I made this for my friend/cousin Melody for her babyshower! And I’ll teach you how to make one too!

What you Need:
Whole strawberries
Apple Wedges
Melting Chocolate
Bamboo skewers
Cutting board
Paring knife
Head of Lettuce
Lettuce leaves
Vase or decorative pail
Melting Chocolate

Wash and dry the vase or pail that will hold the edible fruit arrangement.

Place the head of lettuce in the bottom of the vase or pail. Place the lettuce leaves on top of the head of lettuce and arrange them so the fruit can rest on them.

Rinse the strawberries and Apples and dry gentle with a paper towel.
Slice Apples into wedges.
Slide the strawberries and apples wedges onto bamboo skewer.

Put melting chocolate in top half of a double-broiler, which sits above a pot of boiling water.

Once the chocolate is melted dip each piece of fruit into the chocolate.

Place the end of the skewer, opposite the fruit into a piece of Styrofoam to let the chocolate harden. Sticking the fruit skewers in the Styrofoam will allow the fruit to dry smooth and even on all sides.

After the chocolate hardens press the blunt end of each skewer into the head of lettuce inside the vase or pail. Angle the skewers in different directions to suggest flower stems. Make sure you have enough skewers to make the arrangement look full and pretty.
