My 2 year old is in love with Goofy or “Goof” as he calls him. I have no idea why Jackson got so attached to Goofy but he absolutely loves him. We took Jackson on his first trip to Disney World in February and he got to meet Goofy 3 times while we were there and he just hugged on him and didn’t want to let him go.
So of course when we went to Disney Springs, we had to make a stop by Goofy’s Candy Company so that mommy could grab a Goofy cupcake for her little man!
Jackson loved his Goofy cupcake so much that I knew we had to recreate them at home! So these Homemade cupcakes are my take on the Goofy cupcakes sold at Goofy’s Candy Company in Disney Springs at Walt Disney World.
What you’ll need to make Homemade Goofy Cupcakes:
- Cupcakes (Recipes below)
- Frosting (recipe below)
- Blue gel food coloring
- Orange gel food coloring
- Green gel food coloring
- White nonpareils
- 1 Cup chocolate store bought frosting
- Black gel food coloring
- Piping Bags
- Large Star Piping Tip
- 3 Large round tips
This is the gel food coloring set that I’m currently using.
Piping Tips for Goofy Cupcakes
You’ll need 4 piping tips for these Goofy cupcakes
- 1 large star tip for the blue frosting
- 1 large round tip for the orange frosting
- 1 large round tip for the for the black frosting
- 1 large round tip for the green frosting
These are the white nonpareils that I used for these cupcakes. You don’t have to use white nonpareils on them but the Goofy cupcakes at Disney world had white nonpareils on them so I wanted to use them to match the Disney cupcakes as close as I could.
The frosting!
I love the frosting on the Disney World cupcakes. I don’t know exactly how they make their frosting but this is my version. I mainly like this frosting for these Disney cupcakes because when you place them into the fridge, the butter and shortening gets firm just the like cold icing on the Disney World cupcakes.
Time to Decorate Goofy Cupcakes:
Fill a piping bag that’s been fitted with a large star tip with the blue frosting.
Pipe a blue swirl ring onto each cupcake.
Fill a piping bag that’s been fitted with a large round tip with the orange frosting.
Pipe 2 orange swirls on top of the blue frosting.
Fill a piping bag that’s been fitted with a large round tip with the black frosting.
Pipe two floppy ears onto each cupcake.
Fill a piping bag that’s been fitted with a large round tip with the green frosting.
Pipe a small green swirl “hat” on top of the blue frosting.
Sprinkle orange and blue frosting on each cupcake with White nonpareils.
“Gawrsh”! We’ve got a super cute homemade Goofy cupcake!
If you have any Goofy fans in your life, I hope they love these Goofy cupcakes as much as my little guy did!
