My little boy loves pancakes on the weekends. He likes to help me mix the batter and pretend to flip pancakes in his play kitchen while I’m cooking the real thing.
A lot of time I have a box of pancake mix in the pantry but I also love using this homemade mix!
This homemade pancake mix is also a gift for the kitchen to make for friends and family for the holidays! Just package it up in a little jar with a label attached that tells them how to make the pancakes and you’ve got a super simple and cute homemade gift!
You could even put the jar into a giant mixing bowl with a whisk, kitchen towel and a bottle of maple syrup to create an entire gift basket!

Morning pancakes made with homemade pancake mix is the perfect way to start off the day! This pancake mix is easy to make with simple ingredients and can be stored for about 5-6 months!
Ingredients
- 4 cups flour
- 3/4 cup non fat dry milk
- 1/3 cup white sugar
- 2 tablespoons baking powder
- 1 tablespoon baking soda
Instructions
Mix all the ingredients together in a mixing bowl.
Store in your favorite storage jar or gift it out in smaller jars!
To prepare:
Mix 1 cup of mix with 3/4 cup of water to create batter.
Use 1/4-1/2 cup of batter per pancake for desired size.
Notes
1 cup mix will make about 4 pancakes
