Growing up I never had a ton of heartburn.
I got heartburn once in while but it was very rare and I normally just dealt with the pain until it went away. However, when I got pregnant with our son, heartburn became an everyday event for me but I just knew that I would go back to normal as soon as the baby got here. That wasn’t the case though and I found myself getting heartburn after some meals even months after becoming a mom.
It’s not every meal though, I find that I have the most heartburn after eating meals that contain a lot of tomatoes. My husband also has this issue with pizzas and heavy tomato based pasta dishes.
I also get heartburn at night now which makes it super difficult for me to sleep and with a 6 month old baby I need all the sleep that I can get. I can’t stay up all night with heartburn.
So when we were introduced to Omeprazole Orally Disintegrating Tablet (also referred to as ODT) a few weeks ago I was eager to learn more about this new heartburn medication. The main reason that I was interested in Omeprazole ODT was the fact that it is an orally disintegrating tablet.
So today, while I’m sharing about the new Equate Omeprazole ODT I’m also sharing this fantastic recipe for Homemade Tomato Bisque with Crab Meat.
Why share a Tomato Bisque recipe while talking about heartburn? I’m sharing it because it’s amazing and I know that myself and others suffer from heartburn after enjoying amazing tomato based meals like this Tomato Bisque! (Although we all know that this isn’t the only reason people get heartburn)
So if you’re one of us that suffers from heartburn I wanted to reach out to you and let you know about this new form of heartburn medication that was recently introduced to me in hopes that it will help you get relief as well.
I’ve never been great at taking pill forms of medication. My husband use to think I was crazy when I would struggle with taking pill forms of medications but Omeprazole ODT melts in your mouth so it’s perfect for me.
I’ve been known to deal with discomfort if it means I don’t have to take a lot of medication in pill form. Having a disintegrating tablet makes it easier for me to take and helps me get heartburn relief.
Since I’ve been suffering from heartburn quite frequently, this has help me a lot. Omeprazole ODT is not intended for immediate relief of heartburn, it is a 14 day treatment and is intended for frequent heartburn sufferers.
Switching to Omeprazole ODT for heartburn relief was perfect for me. This form of heartburn medication is brand new innovation.
Equate Omeprazole ODT can be found on the shelves at Walmart which makes it super convenient to pick up since we’re there at least once a week picking up groceries or items for the little one.
Plus, since this heartburn medication dissolves on your tongue, you don’t need to take it with water and it’s perfect to take with you on the go if you’re as busy as I am!
So how long does this heartburn medication work for and how long does relief last?
Omeprazole ODT can help you find heartburn relief for up to 24 hours and is for anyone that suffers from frequent heartburn.
All you need is 1 dose of this Strawberry-flavored heartburn medication every 24 hours! Use as directed for up to 14 days to treat frequent heartburn. It may take between 1-4 days for full effect and is not intended for immediate relief.
I’m not a doctor, nor do I have any medical training, but I do love to share new products with y’all. I know y’all will love this!
