Ingredients For Jack Skellington Chocolate Bark:
- 12 ounces Chocolate Candy Melts or Almond Bark
- 3 ounces black candy melts*
- 20 White Candy Melts (disc form, NOT melted)
- Halloween Sprinkles
- Toothpicks
Ingredient amounts and recipe directions are in the recipe card below with a print option!

How To Make Jack Skellington Chocolate Bark:
- Make Jack Skellington Faces:
Lay White Melting chocolate circles onto a flat surface.
-
Melt Black chocolate according to package directions.
-
Using a toothpick, take the melted black candy melts and use them to draw a Jack Skellington face onto each vanilla circle candy melt.

-
Start with the eyes.

-
Then add the nose and stitched mouth.

- Make the Jack Skellington Chocolate Bark:
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
-
Melt chocolate candy melts (or almond bark) according to package directions, until smooth.
-
Pour melted candy melts onto a lined baking sheet and use a spatula to spread into an even layer.

-
Once the chocolate is spread out, you can start decorating.

-
While the candy melts are still wet, add Jack’s faces to the chocolate.

-
Sprinkle with Halloween sprinkles. I used bone sprinkles …

-
and some orange and black Halloween sprinkles. You could also use pumpkin sprinkles since Jack is the Pumpkin King!

-
Let chocolate bark sit for about 30 minutes on a table or in the fridge to firm up and dry.

How Do I Melt Candy Melts?
Candy melts or almond bark will have the directions/instructions on the back of the package. You can either melt them in the microwave or use a double boiler.
You can also use Candy Melts/ Chocolate Melting Pots but I’ve never tried them myself.
I normally melt them in the microwave, heating them for 30-second intervals, and stirring until smooth and melted. So heat, stir, heat, stir…etc until it is melted. You don’t want to overheat it or it’ll burn.
What Kind Of Candy Melts Do I Use?
Most of the time, I use the Make and Mold candy melts from Hobby Lobby.
However, the past few times that I worked with using candy melts, I used the ChocoMaker brand from Walmart and really liked them. You can also find them on Amazon.
What Products Did You Use To Make This Jack Skellington?
Here is what I used:
- ChocoMaker Bright White Vanilla Candy Wafer Melts
- Chocomaker Black Vanilla Flavored Candy Wafers
- Candy Bone Sprinkles
- Black and Orange Halloween Sprinkles
For the Chocolate Bark Main Layer, you could use Chocolate Almond Bark or Chocomaker Milk Chocolate Flavored Candy Wafers
Does Almond Bark Have Almonds In It?
Nope! No almonds in almond bark.
