I made these cute Mini Mickey Pumpkins for my son’s 1st birthday party! They’re great for a Mickey Pumpkin party or a Disney lover’s Halloween!
There are two things that I’ve been in love with this year for Halloween/Fall:
- The Dollar Store
- Mickey Pumpkins
Lucky for me, this little Halloween Mickey Pumpkin craft includes them both.
I made these Mini Mickey Pumpkins for my son’s first birthday party and they were perfect just to sit around the party tables and food tables! Not only did they match the theme of the party but it only cost me about $2 (minus the spray paint and glue gun I already had) to make each one.
As I mentioned earlier, my son just turned one and we had a “Mickey Pumpkin” themed birthday party for him here at the house. I made Mickey Pumpkin wreaths to decorate the backyard and I made these cute little Mini Mickey Pumpkins because I just wanted something else “Mickey Pumpkin” themed to decorate with.
I picked up these pumpkins at our local dollar store.
- 1 small pumpkin for Mickey’s head
- 3 pack of supermini pumpkins – using 2 of them for Mickey’s ears
I pulled the clips off the bottoms of the tiny ones but let the stems on them so I could use those to push the pumpkins into the larger one.
So this is what they looked like before we pained them.
I included this one so that you could see the size. The smaller one is a bit larger than a chocolate kiss but they’re still relatively small Mickey Pumpkins.
I used some leftover orange spray paint that I had used on the Mickey Pumpkin Wreaths (which I’ll be posting about soon!) and sprayed all sides of the pumpkins.
Then after they were dry, I just used the stems of the little pumpkins to stab them into Mickey’s head to create the ears. They stayed on pretty well without the hot glue gun but since I knew little hands were probably going to end up touching these at the party I went ahead and hot glued the ears to Mickey’s head.
There you have it! A super easy, dollar store Mini Mickey Pumpkin!
