My son and my nephew love Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches, so can you guess how much they loved these Peanut Butter and Jelly Macarons? They were two happy little boys when these PB&J macarons appeared in the kitchen.
Peanut butter and jelly is a classic favorite and these macarons sing PB&J praises with their peanut butter colored shell and the grape jelly colored shells sandwiching together layers of peanut butter frosting and grape jelly!

I think that these Peanut Butter and Jelly Macarons are just beautiful!
When I was working on my ideas for bringing these PB&J Macarons to life, I tossed around quite a few ideas. I couldn’t decide if they should be grape or strawberry or if I should make the shells all brown like peanut butter and just fill the middle with jam.
Then after some brainstorming, I decided to kind of combine my ideas. I went with grape because we always have grape jelly in the house and because grape PB&J sandwiches are my son and husband’s favorite kind of PB&J. Then I decide to have both “grape jelly” macaron shells and “peanut butter” macaron shells for the Peanut Butter and Jelly Macarons!
I am 100% in love with how they turned out!
So each Peanut Butter and Jelly Macaron has 1 purple shell and 1 brown shell.
I piped a ring of peanut butter frosting onto one shell and then filled it with grape jelly before adding the second macaron shell to create the sandwich.
I almost went with a grape frosting and peanut butter frosting combo idea that I had but I like how this turned out a lot better!
Biting into one of these macarons taste almost exactly like biting into a real peanut butter and jelly sandwich, which is exactly what I wanted!
If you’re not a fan of grape jelly, change it up for strawberry or maybe even blackberry jam! I’m sure either of those would be fantastic here.
I have a strawberry lemonade jam recipe on the blog if you’re looking for a homemade jam to use.
