SO….. what do you think of my new necklace.?!?! I’m pretty much loving it. Not to mention it cost me about 3 bucks to make it 🙂

If I can make something and save money by doing it I will. If I can take a bag of pearls and 2 strands of ribbon and make a necklace that I adore then I am all for it.

What you need:

1 bag of fake pearls
1 Spool Silver Ribbon
1 Spool Black ribbon
Needle and thread

What to do:

Cut your ribbon into 1 inch squares. I just used my thumb to measure it.

Cut out 40 Silver squares and 40 Black squares.

Tread your needle with your thread.

Thread 1 black square, 1 silver square and 1 Pearl.

Thread 1 silver square, 1 black square and 1 Pearl.

Thread 1 black square, 1 silver square and 1 Pearl.

Thread 1 silver square, 1 black square and 1 Pearl.

Thread 1 black square, 1 silver square and 1 Pearl.

Thread 1 silver square, 1 black square and 1 Pearl.

Thread 1 black square, 1 silver square and 1 Pearl.

Thread 1 silver square, 1 black square and 1 Pearl.

Continue with this pattern until you’ve made the necklace as long as you want it to be.

Then on the ends I tied off the thread.

I then took two -4 inch strands of black ribbon and stitched one to each end of the necklace. These are the ribbons I used to tie the necklace around my neck.

And there is your Pearl Ribbon Necklace.

PS. a tip*** I found that after I was done making the necklace that the silver ribbons had started to fray, so I just took a long lighter (like for candles) and went over the necklace with quick strokes so the little frayed strings were singed. 🙂
