I think that a classic cheese ball recipe is always a hit for parties and holiday dinners. Cheeseballs are easy to make and you can turn them into almost any flavor that you can think of. I always make my cheeseballs with cream cheese, no matter that the flavor because I think that it is a great base to build from.
While I love a great dessert cheeseball, savory cheeseballs like this pecan cheese ball are fantastic too.

How to make a homemade Pecan Crusted Cheese Ball:

In a medium size bowl, mix together your cream cheese, cheddar cheese, lemon juice, garlic and onion powder, chili powder, and paprika. Mix well.

Add in 1/4 cup chopped pecans. Mix well.

On a flat surface, place a piece of saran/plastic wrap.

Take the cheese mixture and place it in the middle of the wrap.

Take the sides and bring them together and twist the top two close and completely cover the cheese.

Roll into a ball and transfer to the refrigerator. Allow to sit for about 1 hour.

Once cheese ball has chilled, remove from the refrigerator. Coat the cheese ball with your remaining pecans.

Serve with veggie sticks and/or crackers.

Hi, Angie I am totaly agree with you. we can make it with any other incredients, but with cream cheese gives great base. and even i also make with it but this time i will test it with different incredients.
