The Perfect Whipped Cream

(Printable Recipe Here)

There is nothing wrong with Cool Whip in the Tub or Whipped Cream from a Can. I LOVE both of those products. Both I could eat alone if Hubby would let me haha.

This is just a great recipe for some awesome homemade Whipped Cream. I made this to put on the Boston cream pie I made the other night. Mainly because I had neither of the Whipped Cream Products above and I wanted cute whipped cream decorations on the cake.

So since I had heavy whipping cream and powdered sugar on hand, I made a quick Whipped Cream by hand. It took less then 10 minutes and I only had to get 2 kitchen tools dirty… a whisk and a bowl.

2 ingredients
2 kitchen tools
Perfect Whipped Cream

What you need:

1 Cup Heavy Whipping Cream
1/4 Cup powdered Sugar

What to do:

Chill your bowl and whisk in the freezer for about 15 mins.

Pour the heavy whipping cream into your cold medium mixing bowl. Add the powdered Sugar and start to whisk. (If you have a metal handle on your whisk and its to cold for you after removing from the freezer, wrap the whisk handle in a paper towel.)

NOW… WHISK…. and WHISK….and WHISK

I hand whisk it between 5-6 minutes.

The Whipped Cream will start to thicken. Once it thickens to the point of being able to pull the whisk up with peeks of whipped cream forming on the end of the whisk you know you’re done 🙂

Now Use this to top your favorite pie, cake, or even cookie 😉
