These little Pretzel Christmas Tree Cupcakes have been waiting forever to end up on the blog. I love them so much and I’m kind of kicking myself for waiting so long to post these.
I actually made these and photographed them for the blog last year, but with having a little 3-month-old at the time, I just ran out of time during the month of December so I just saved them for this year.
I first saw these sweet Pretzel Christmas Trees over on Jamielyn’s blog, I heart naptime a few years ago and loved them. I thought they’d look perfect as Christmas cupcake toppers with these buffalo plaid cupcake liners. Then when I went to write up this recipe and post, I found out that I’m not the only person that thought that these Pretzel Christmas Trees would make cute cupcake toppers. haha It seems like a lot of bloggers had the same idea.
I don’t care though, I love them so much and I want to share them with y’all.
These Pretzel Christmas Tree cupcake toppers are easy to make and I’m going to show you how to do it.
How to Make a Pretzel Christmas Tree Cupcake Topper
(picture above for these steps, the written recipe for toppers and cupcakes is below)
- You need a pretzel stick 🙂 Lay it on a piece of parchment paper.
- Melt green candy melts, add to a piping bag. Snip the end of the piping bag. Pipe green candy melts in a zig-zag, starting at the top and working towards the bottom, making the “branches” bigger and longer as you work your way down the “tree”
- While candy melts are wet, add sprinkles.
- Let trees sit until hard or pop them into the fridge to harden faster.
That is all you have to do for the Pretzel Christmas Tree Cupcake toppers!
This is what they’ll look like in a cupcake….
This is what the back will look like when you’re done.
You can use these for any cupcake you want to! You can use a boxed cake mix for the cupcakes, a homemade recipe or store-bought cupcakes,
I’m adding my favorite cupcake recipe below and linking to a few more that you might like.
