Happy Tuesday!! Did anyone get enough rest this past weekend? I know I didn’t ! 😉 I was at Mountain Lake Lodge in the beautiful mountains of Virginia this weekend for Mixed (it’s a food blogger conference) and was just having such a great time that I didn’t get to rest as much as I needed to!

I’m going to do a re-cap post on the trip and conference but I just wanted to share a few of my favorite photos from the trip with ya’ll!

Friday morning I attended a photography and food styling workshop taught by Tami from (Running With Tweezers) and Helen from (Tartelett). I’ll go on about that more later, but wow oh wow are these ladies talented!

Have you had these Chocolate Dipped Bananas from Dole?! They are incredible! I got to munch on a few of these while watching Pitch Perfect on Friday night…. our little table/group may or may not have quoted and sang along to the entire movie.;)

These cookies! You must go and make them. NOW! They are little mini Cheddar and Apple Pie Cookies and they are divine! I was trying to be really good and not eat cookies, I even split one with Brandi to judge them for the cookie contest and I had to go back and get another! So, so good! Shari has the recipe for them (and some better photos than what I got) on her blog! Get the recipe here: Cheddar Apple Pie Cookies!

I got to spend most of my weekend with this amazing woman! Melanie blogs over at Melanie in the Middle and shares some beautiful and mouth watering recipes over at A Beautiful Bite!

I am so making some of these for Christmas this year! Marshmallows and Hot Chocolate on a stick! So cute!

We got to meet the authors of  “Hello, Cupcake“! I loved all of their ideas for cakes, cupcakes and cookies!

And then on the last day we woke up to snow! Beautiful snow that was pretty to look at but didn’t really amount to anything. Thank goodness because everyone was leaving the mountain that morning to go home!

How was your weekend? Do anything fun? Are you ready for Thanksgiving? I know I’m not! haha

I read about this conference back in the summer and forgot all about it. It sounds like a great time. Seeing Mountain Lake with such a small bit of water is so sad. When I was at Tech we went there frequently to hike and at that time it was full. It was so much prettier back then.

Meet Angie

I love the Farmer’s Market and Farm to Table meals but I’m also not ashamed to use canned vegetables and baking mixes. It’s all about balance! I’m so glad y’all are here!
