Stacked Onion Ring Chili Cheese Burger #BurgerMonth

I shouldn’t call these Stacked Onion Ring Chili Cheese Burgers “man food” but that’s exactly what comes to mind when I see them. I shouldn’t call them “man food” because it doesn’t matter if you’re a man, woman or purple alien…you’re gonna want to chow down on one of these and then eyeball a second.

That’s pretty much how Big Bear went about it haha.

So why have these scrumptious Stacked Onion Ring Chili Cheese Burgers made an appearance on the blog today?

They’re here because the fabulous, Kita from Girl Carnivore asked a bunch of us to get together for #BurgerMonth! Kita has done an amazing job setting this all up and rangling about 30 bloggers for #BurgerMonth and she also put together an amazing giveaway! (The Giveaway is at the bottom of this post!)

Thank you for all of your hard work Kita!!

So that’s why we’re here, with a tray full of Stacked Onion Ring Chili Cheese Burgers!

Now let me tell you something! These have onion rings on them, yep! Do you know why this is so awesome? It’s because Onion Rings are the only kinds of onions that Big Bear and eat!

He literally has the weirdest onion allergy ever. Fry them up and he’s totally fine. Accidentally let him eat a pork bun in Hawaii with tons of onions in it…sick for a day. haha

Ps. Those onion rings are totally stacked like a little volcano in that photo because Big Bear said that’s how they needed to be stacked haha. Hey, when you’re husband is helping with the blog recipes and photo shoot of the day without complaint, you let him stack onion rings anyway he wants. haha. 🙂

Totally random, I know. But I just had to tell you about that!

Makes 6 Stacked Onion Ring Chili Cheese Burger

Ingredients

2 pounds ground beef, 85% lean 15% fat
2 cups shredded Colby Jack cheese (or your favorite kind)
2 tablespoons Pike’s Peak Butcher’s Rub (or your favorite steak seasoning)
6 Hamburger Buns
2 cups chill (homemade or store bought)
12 onions rings (homemade or store bought)

Directions

In a medium bowl, combine the ground beef and Pike’s Peak Butcher’s Rub (or your favorite steak seasoning). Mix it all together really well!

Press the burger beef into six (5 oz) hamburger patties.

For the Grill:
Let the burgers rest while you’re getting the grill ready.

Heat a grill and let the flame die out leaving behind white coals. Place the burgers onto the grill and cook, covered for about 20-25 minutes.

For the Oven:

Place burgers on a boiler pan. Turn the oven to “high broil” and cook in the oven for 8 minutes. Flip burgers and cook for another 8 minutes.

Heat the chili.

Place the burger on the bun, top with chili and sprinkle with cheese.

Add on two onion rings and add the top bun!
