Whats better then relaxing on a warm afternoon with a cool snack.................relaxing on a cold afternoon with hot coco........ BUT until my little side of the country desides its time for cool weather I'm trying to make the best of it.
I had never had frozen pudding until today. My husband says he had it all the time when we was young........... where have I been? Under a rock??
So last night I whipped up some colored pudding pops stuck them in the freezer and tada!!!!!! Today I have a yummy cool snack.
I made mine in neon colors but just think of all the color combos you could use to celebrate holidays!!!
All you have to use is food coloring!
Orange and Black for Halloween
Green for St. Patricks day
Red and Blue with White pudding for 4th of July
School colors for back to school
Pastels for easter
Green, Purple and Yellow for Mardi Gras
Orange, red and chocolate for Thanksgiving?!?!
Wow... what eles??
So here is how you make these little goodies!! Super easy!!
What you need to make these neon pudding pops:
2 boxes of instant vanilla pudding mix
2 cups of milk
Food Coloring in neon colors
You will also need :
A popsicle mold or if you dont have one of these you can use tiny cups and popsicle sticks
What to do:
Combine the pudding mix and the two cups of milk in a mixing bowl. Using the whisk, beat the mixture for about two minutes.
Seperate the pudding into 4 bowls (or however many colors you are using)
Mix each bowl with a seperate food coloring until you have colored pudding.
Fill the small paper cups or the popsicle molds until they are full. If ou are using the cups, insert the popsicle sticks into the middle of the pudding in the cup.
I layered mine to give it a cuter look and show off each color, but you can do it however you'd like.
Place the pudding pops into a freezer and allow them to freeze overnight.
When you are ready to eat the pudding pops, either peel away the paper cup or run some warm water over the cups or molds and gently remove the pudding pops.
Enjoy!!!! My cousin Darby Loved the Pudding Pops!!!
