This past weekend in the midst of all things Halloween I was able to step away from the orange and black of the Holiday and put together (with the help of my cousin Ariel) an adorable baby shower for our cousin Crystal. She is due in December with their 2nd bundle of joy and again they are having a sweet baby girl.
Crystal chose the theme “Storybook” for the baby shower and Ariel and I were tasked with making it come to life 🙂 All of the food matched up with a storybook, which I must say it was quite interesting coming up with what book could go with what foods and the other way around.
We set up a Pinterest board to gather all of our ideas and this happen to be one of the ideas we collected. The idea is from See Vanessa Craft.< — you can see her tutorial here.
I didn’t quite follow the same guidelines, but did use it as a visual guide. To be honest I didn’t even click on the link until after the party when I wanted to credit her for the idea. I just kinda went off of the picture and went from there.
I used brown sugar for my sand where she used crushed graham crackers and I don’t have any cute white bubbles on mine haha. But still I think they came out pretty well. Everyone seemed to love them and I saw a few people from the party post pictures of them on Instagram after the party haha.
