5 Ingredient Ravioli Soup is just that, ravioli soup that’s simply made with only 5 ingredients. This super easy soup recipe is great for winter nights or fall evenings. It’s a super easy dinner recipes that is super quick to make.
Our little city was covered in snow this weekend. Yesterday morning the snow started early and continued to pour until early this morning.
I sat on our couch working on posts and photos for the blog as I watched big, fluffy snowflakes fall outside our apartment window. While I sat there I thought about how much I love living here; how I wish that we had moved into this apartment years ago. Thomas and I are so happy here. It’s been years since we have both been able to say that.
It’s odd how things seem to work out, isn’t it.
Since we’ve been in the apartment, we’ve gotten out and about a lot more during the day. I tracked it the other day, every time we take the dogs out we’re walking about an mile if not a little more. So, if I take them out more than once, I’m walking more than a mile a day and getting in my steps before I even make it to the gym.
I’ve got more energy here; I love it! That means that the pups have more energy too and they want to go out all the time. Normally this is cool, but after the “blizzard” that hit us over the past two days, going out for a “stroll” is a bit more work.
Walking in the snow with dogs is pretty much just as hard as walking in the sand on the beach. I don’t know about you but after walking a mile in the snow (or sand) my legs are burning!
After I was out in the snow for a while with the pups, I worked on a few recipe ideas before I started this 5 Ingredient Ravioli Soup. It was the perfect meal to keep us warm while the temperatures dropped outside.
So with all the exercise I’ve been getting since we moved, I don’t feel guilty about cozying up with some comfort foods while we’re hanging out because of the snow.
Ok, I have to admit that I actually feel a little guilty. There is something about cold winter days that make me want to indulge a little bit extra. I’ll make up for it once the snow is melted. We have started doing yoga, I suppose that I could continue doing that inside while the snow melts. 🙂
But since the snow is still on the ground, I’m going to keep spending time in the kitchen. Cooking away and making up delicious comfort foods like this 5 Ingredient Ravioli Soup.
Yep, this soup only takes 5 Ingredients. Well , there are more vegetables than one in the soup but I’m counting the mixed vegetables in this soup as 1 ingredient because I used a bag of frozen vegetables. 🙂
So, gather together the 5 items that you need, spend just a few minutes in the kitchen while you make this soup. It’s easy to throw together in a giant stock pot. This soup will totally keep you warm on these snowy, chilly nights! If you’re enjoying the snow, I that you’ll stay safe out there!

You can not beat a big bowl of hearty soup on a snowy day! One that comes together as quickly as this one is a definite must–more time in front of the window watching those fluffy snowflakes fall.

I wish I’d get myself out more often! My step counter pretty much stays under 1,500 steps for the day unless I go grocery shopping and then it’s 4,000. Haha. SO bad! Love how easy this soup is. Looks delicious, too!

Angie this looks like perfection to me. Nothing more comforting than a big bowl of soup. Ravioli just takes it over the top. Love this.
Yoga? I want to take it but I’m so uncoordinated that I fear I’ll end up making a spectacle of myself. Did you see that video being passed around about the heavy set lady who does yoga, she’s busting down stereotypes left and right, even Ashton Kutcher tweeted her story. Anyhow, long story getting longer, she actually lives local. She owns a yoga studio in the city we live near. I’d love to take a class but between my clumsiness and my gas issues I’d embarrass myself for certain. Bah ha ha ha.
I owe you an email. I’ll fire it back to you Friday. Mwuah! xx
