I’m crazy about chocolate covered desserts! haha Not just like chocolate sauce covered desserts, I mean I love hard chocolate candy coated desserts. My favorite include chocolate covered rice krispie treats and chocolate covered marshmallow! There is just something so wonderful about biting into chocolate coated treats, especially around Halloween!
Our little bear is 3 weeks old now and we’re still soaking up all of this precious time with him! Thankfully, I’ve got great friends like Nicole from “For the Love of Food” that’s offered to guest post for me today! Halloween is still in full swing around here, so you KNOW it’s going to be a Halloween recipe! haha
Turning the blog over to Nicole today!

Hi, I am Nicole from For the Love of Food and I’m so happy to be sharing a tasty Halloween treat on Big Bear’s Wife today! I created this fun recipe with my kids in mind, as most of my food is. They love to help make and eat my recipe creations so we definitely had some messy fun making these Marshmallow Monster Pops! They make a spooktacular Halloween party treat or gift!

For these Monster Pops I used 3 different colors of candy melts for dipping.
I used a half bag of each and was able to cover 12 jumbo marshmallows.

Pour candy melts into a shallow bowl or mason jar and melt in the microwave on 50% power for 1 min.

Stir then repeat in 30 second intervals until smooth.

Insert a treat stick into the center of each marshmallow.

Dip and swirl in the candy melts.
Then tap off any excess.

Gently add sprinkles all over.

Then press a candy eye in the center.

Place in a cup or stand to harden for a couple minutes.

Wrap in clear treat bags and tie with ribbon as gifts or serve at a Halloween party as a festive treat.

I like to prop mine up in candy filled mason jars for a fun presentation.

Ava couldn’t wait to sample hers!
My little foodies have a sweet tooth like their Mama!

I just love making treats at home with my kiddos.
What is your favorite kid friendly homemade Halloween treat?

Hope you like this recipe as much as my family and I did!
