Well y’all, my due date was October 5th but guess who decided that they were ready to enter the world early!! Yep! Baby Bear is here!
I’m not going to make this a very long post because I’m going to get back to baby snuggles and resting but I wanted to take a few seconds to let y’all know that our little bear has made his appearance.
At 3:58 PM EST today he’ll officially be 1 week old!
So this time last week, I was in labor and waiting for our little guy to get here!
You see, last Tuesday I worked all day on my feet. My back and feet were killing me by the end of the day but I finished all of my work and send off client work! Around 8pm, I posted on my Facebook about my success of finishing all of my deadlines, closed my computer and officially put myself on maternity leave!
Thomas and I breathed a sigh of relief and planned on spending the next few weeks getting ready for our little bear to arrive.
About 2 1/2 hours later, my water broke and we were on the way to the hospital!
We had an unexpected twist in our labor and delivery plans (I’ll blog more about that later) but on September 20th at 3:58pm we finally welcomed our little bundle of joy into the world and we finally became parents!
Our little bear decided to show up 2 weeks early!! We would love to introduce you to our sweet little bear, Jackson! He was born September 20th and was 6 pounds 13 oz!
???? Mommy & Baby (and Daddy haha) are doing great! Little bear has a bit of jaundice so we’re working to fix that but other than that, everything is going well.
He’s just perfect! Thank you for all of the e-mails and messages asking about him over the past few months! So far the sleepless nights have been 100% worth it! <3
After 10 years of marriage and years of praying for a little one, we are finally parents!
Ps. So, unknown to me, while I was in he hospital with our baby boy, a group of bloggers threw me a virtual baby shower! Terri from Love & Confections threw gathered together a bunch of my blogging friends and they shared a bunch of fantastic recipes on their blogs to give me a virtual baby shower.
I just happened to be looking on Instagram one day while in the hospital (while baby bear was back with he doctors having his daily checkup) and saw that I had been tagged in something! I took a look and it was a virtual baby shower for me! I was over the moon touched! I’ve always loved seeing virtual baby showers online for bloggers and secretly wanted one for years. It was an awesome surprise to see!
THANK YOU TO EVERYONE THAT WAS A PART OF THE BABY SHOWER!!! You have no idea how much it meant to me!
Since he was suppose to be here in October, he kind of jumped the timeline and came before they posted hahaha but that’s totally fine. I love it so much!
