Making cocktails is super easy and great for a relaxing evening in or a home party! These Blackberry Mojitos are super easy to mix up and you can make them mocktails by just leaving out the rum! Perfect for brunch dates, Bridal Showers, or a weekend by the pool.
This recipe was created for Dixie Crystals by BigBear’sWife, post and words written are 100% mine as always.
I feel like Mojitos are one of those perfect drinks that you’d sip while laying out by the pool on a hot summer day or a cocktail that you’d whip up to serve at your best friend’s bridal shower.
Not only are they perfect as is but they’re even better when you mix in some different flavors! These Blackberry Mojitos are bound to be a new favorite! Oh, and don’t worry! You can make these alcohol free and they’re still just as tasty!
Thomas loves Mojitos and I love Blackberries so I thought those two loves would be perfect to mash up into a great Spring/Summer cocktail!
Plus, since Thomas already loves Mojitos, he was the perfect test subject for these haha.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again! If you’re not a big drinker but just want the occasionally cocktail once in a while, BUY AIRPLANE BOTTLES!
They’re a huge money saver for me when it comes to all types of cocktails and for desserts that I want to bake with bourbon or whiskey.
We don’t drink a lot, but once in a while I’ll make a cocktail or two on the weekends or maybe I’ll whip up a few while we’re spending an afternoon as the pool, and well if I’m only making 2 drinks, I don’t really want to buy a huge bottle of liquor. However airplane bottles are perfect. I’ve got a drawer in my fridge dedicated to them and they’re perfect for cocktails like this, Bourbon Pecan Pie and Bailey’s Cookie Cups!
Back to these Blackberry Mojitos though!
I use to be a bartender back before Thomas and I got married, while I was only a bartender for a few months before we moved to Lejeune, I loved it and actually thought about going to bartending school.
I also realized that even if you made the same drink, the exact same way that someone people would LOVE IT and some people would want changes made to it.
So with that being said, when I was working one a few different ways to make these Blackberry Mojitos Thomas and I agreed on some things and we didn’t on others!
For example, I like my Blackberry Mojitos a little sweeter and Thomas likes a bit more of the lime tartness in his. He also like a bit more mint that I do in mine.
He’s also a fan of his Blackberry Mojitos being strained and I don’t mind the mint leaves and berries in there because I drink mine through a straw.
So give them a try, let me know what you think and if you make your own changes let me know! I’m always up for trying new cocktail recipes!
