I just got back from my very first BlogHer Food Conference and loved every minute of it! (Well except for the flight haha) I also got to visit Miami for the first time and I do believe that I fell in love with the Beach and the food there!
I’m going to write a few blog posts about the trip later and go into more details about the places we ate but I wanted to just take a moment today and share some photos with you!

I was so, so happy to be able to spend tons of time with some amazing friends (old and new) down in Miami!
We went to a fantastic Southern Style restaurant called Swine Southern Table & Bar on Friday for lunch and I thought that it was just amazing! We tried a few different entrees and I adored these Homemade Oreos with Bourbon-Spiked Milk!

Saturday we had a “girls day” for a bit of the afternoon after Brunch at Morgan’s and hopped on over to Miami Beach for a little sand and sun.
We also strolled down to Joe’s TakeAway to give the stone crabs and key lime pie a try! After getting there I just had to try the chocolate chip pecan pie (and they threw in a slice of their apple pie as well!)

Speaking of food….there was a TON of food happening this past weekend! Those little strawberry cheesecake shot glasses were heaven!
Then there was the swag! SWAG = Lots of goodies that companies give to bloggers that are attending the conference! So many neat things were given to us at this conference; things like this adorable cookie mix from Farmville! I had so much stuff to bring home that my suitcase was over flowing! I know a lot of family and friends that are going to get a few bags of goodies this week! (Plus I’m totally going to make some of those cookie mix jars!!)
Oh and the Parties! Parties were happening everywhere during this trip! I got an invitation to attend an ALDI wine pairing party and just loved being able to hang out and try some of the wines! Do you have an ALDI where you live? I love shopping there! It’s my favorite place for chocolate and cheese!
Oh.. wait… Parties… I almost forgot to tell you about the Closing Party!! Saturday night we had a BlogHER closing party and look who I got to see!
Jaden , Me, Ree and Elise |
I know and love Jaden (Steamy Kitchen) already, but I also got to meet Ree (The Pioneer Woman) and Elise (Simply Recipe) this past weekend! After the closing party, I went down with Cathy (Noble Pig) sat in the lobby and got to chat with Elise and Ree as well as enjoy more of the Noble Pig Wine that Cathy had brought! It was a fantastic end to a fantastic trip! Those three ladies in that photo with me are just amazing!
I wish that each and every one of you could have been there with me! Everything was just wonderful! (Well except for the flight the first day but I’ll get into that in another post haha)
I’ll have some more posts up soon that will go into detail about some parts of the trip but until then I’ll leave you with this photo of the beautiful blue waters of Miami Beach! HUGS!!
OOooh! I so wanted to go to this. Thanks for sharing your photos. It looks like it was an amazing event. How were the workshops?
I’m so glad you got to go to BHF! Sad I had to miss it but didn’t want to risk Ryder getting sick with all the people around. I sat downstairs in the lobby with Cathy and Elise sipping Cathy’s wine… So good and so much fun and great memories made. Isn’t Ree just the sweetest?
