I just love how cute these Christmas peanut butter balls are! I’ve made these for years but this is the first year I decided to add sprinkles to them instead if a chocolate drizzle. I love the way the sprinkles look.

- peanut butter
- cream cheese
- chocolate almond bark
- vanilla extract

What Are Peanut Butter Balls Made Of?
Peanut Butter balls are made of a combination of peanut butter, butter, confectioners’ sugar (aka powdered sugar) and vanilla extract.
Should I Use Salted Butter or Unsalted Butter for Peanut Butter Balls?
You can use either for this recipe.
Are These Peanut Butter Balls Like Buckeyes?
They are! The different in peanut butter balls and buckeyes, is that peanut butter balls are completely covered and buckeyes are dipped in chocolate and the tops are left un covered to look like a seed from the Ohio buckeye tree.
Do You Store Peanut Butter Balls In The Fridge?
Yes! Store these in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

We were gifted these sprinkles by a company called “My Favorite Company, Inc.” but you can find these at Walmart! They’re the Great Value brand.
How To Cook Christmas Peanut Butter Balls:

Peanut butter balls are so easy to make. You just need a few ingredients.

First take the butter and smooth peanut butter and pop it into a a small saucepan.

Heat on low until peanut butter and butter melts together. Once melted, pour it into a large bowl.

Stir vanilla extract and powdered sugar into the peanut butter mixture until well combined.

Place into fridge for 30 minutes.

Remove from fridge and roll dough into tablespoon size balls and place on a flat surface. Use foil or parchment paper to make it easier to lift off finished candies

Melt chocolate almond bark according to package directions

Dip peanut butter balls into melted chocolate almond bark, scoop up with a fork and tap off excess. Place on prepared sheet. You can also stab them with a toothpick and dip them into the melted chocolate almond bark if that is easier.

Sprinkle Christmas Sprinkles onto peanut butter balls while chocolate is wet.

Set aside until chocolate has hardened. You can chill these in a freezer or refrigerator / fridge to help them harden faster if you have room for a baking sheet but you don’t have to. They will harden at room temperature.

These Christmas Peanut Butter Balls might be the easiest Christmas dessert that you can make around the holidays. 3 ingredient and some sprinkles are all you need for this sweet treat.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
- 3/4 cup smooth peanut butter
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 16 ounces chocolate almond bark
Instructions
- In a medium sauce pan, melt butter and peanut butter together.
- Once mixture is melted pour it into another medium bowl.
- Stir in the vanilla.
- Stir in the powdered sugar until well combined.
- Place into fridge for 30 minutes.
- Remove from fridge and roll dough into tablespoon size balls and place on a flat surface. Use foil or parchment paper to make it easier to lift off finished candies
- Melt chocolate almond bark according to package directions
- Dip peanut butter balls into melted chocolate almond bark, scoop up with a fork and tap off excess.
- Place on prepared sheet.
