I never really thought that I was pie person until a few years ago when I started experimenting with them in the kitchen. Now I would 100% say that I am a pie person instead of a cake person.
This easy Chocolate Cookie Oreo Crust is perfect for all kinds of pies! Let me show you how to make it.
What you’ll need to make a Chocolate Cookie Crust:
- chocolate sandwich cookies
- butter, melted
How do you make a Chocolate Cookie Crust?
Crush or blend chocolate cookies into crumbs.
You can add the cookies to a plastic bag and crush them with a rolling pin or you can add them to a food processor to crush them.
Mix the cookie crumbs with melted butter until combined.
Press chocolate cookie crumb mixture into 9 inch deep dish pie to create a pie crust. I like to use my fingers, a spoon and a metal measuring cup to really press the cookies into the pie dish.
Here are the options for bake and no bake pie options:
To bake this pie crust, pop it into the oven for 350F for about 10 minutes before filling.
To use is as a non baked crust, pop it into the fridge for 30 minutes or so before filling.
